Why this place
Huludao's coast is where the Ming Great Wall runs into the water at Jiumenkou, and the city itself is a long strip of beaches along the Liaodong Bay — the closest decent seaside town to Shenyang.

- Xingcheng ancient town — a well-preserved Ming walled city with the largest surviving Ming gate tower outside Beijing
