Why this place
Pingxiang is a coal city in western Jiangxi, and it was here that the Anyuan miners' strike of 1922 was organised — an event that shaped the early labour movement in China. The mine and workers' movement sites are preserved.

- Wugong Mountain, on the Hunan border — the highest peak in Jiangxi and a good walk
